OTOH, maybe that is telling us something about the rest of the state, seeing that as a distinction without a difference.Khalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11866897914538110672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955311294411328562.post-41269048321156067462012-05-14T13:36:16.085-06:002012-05-14T13:36:16.085-06:00To me the obvious solution is just as if you park ...To me the obvious solution is just as if you park illegally in a traffic lane, you get a ticket. I bet if the contractor got ticketed for every time it blocked the bike lane with their signs, they would stop doing it pretty quick.ALBERThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02886292864081560647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955311294411328562.post-89027461314705125252012-05-12T15:45:58.352-06:002012-05-12T15:45:58.352-06:00Y'all have my sympathy - from NORTH TEXAS...Y'all have my sympathy - from NORTH TEXAS...Steve Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13650405341304401203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955311294411328562.post-28427016368893854782012-05-11T15:13:46.059-06:002012-05-11T15:13:46.059-06:00The Redi-Net contractor has been especially bad, e...The Redi-Net contractor has been especially bad, especially during high commuting times. I have twice been pulling the "kid trailer" and had to deal with going into traffic (then short-circuiting the blockage and going back into the cones). It is not a very good "lane closure" situation. I certainly didn't go back through Diamond, but rerouted to North Road on the way home.Clay Moseleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00928904864932608336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955311294411328562.post-84757426074051998082012-05-11T10:26:34.809-06:002012-05-11T10:26:34.809-06:00All of the signs along Diamond have been moved fro...All of the signs along Diamond have been moved from the Bike Lane. This is a constant battle with contractors and how they place signs or move them after inspections. Highway Safety (Company that sets work zones for contractors) has been contacted again and told not place the signs in the bike lanes. If you notice a sign in the bike lane, please contact Public Works at 662-8113 or 662-8150.Kyle Zimmermannoreply@blogger.com
