Every whisp of gas, lump of coal, and drop of oil will burn until it is not economical to do so. We can't jeapordize the well being of tens and likely hundreds of millions of people worldwide today for potential effects centuries from now. Pushing solar, wind, fusion and the like beyond economic parity with fossil fuels is the only way to push back on man's contribution to climate change. I suppose one could put a tax on all products made using high emission scenerios and use that money to build a wall around Holland?Khalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11866897914538110672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955311294411328562.post-10228637551263289872017-03-28T10:38:13.142-06:002017-03-28T10:38:13.142-06:00Hmm, let's assume mid-level sensitivity to car...Hmm, let's assume mid-level sensitivity to carbon emissions and that the US contributes a quarter of the global carbon emission total. Under an "America First" approach, how much is it worth to places like Holland and various low-lying island nations to pay us to reduce our CO2 so they don't simply disappear? After all, mostly, we've mostly only got Florida to lose. Perhaps, Mexico, not wanting to get even hotter, would pay for that darned wall if we shot less CO2 into the air in exchange. Sign me, "the advocate for the devil." Seriously, we DO live in strange times...Steve Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13650405341304401203noreply@blogger.com
